Hearing you

It’s important that young people can share their thoughts, ideas and opinions about their care and the issues that matter to them.

Our Hear Me Voice Groups play a vital role in ensuring children and young people with care experiences have a say in their care and the issues that matter to them. They bring together passionate and dedicated young people with decision makers in children’s social care to share their experiences and ideas on how to improve the support and the services they receive. They discuss and work on issues that affect young people such as:

  • Physical and emotional health
  • Education
  • Accommodation
  • Support
  • Local and National campaigns to improve the care system

There are also paid opportunities to get involved with interviewing and training new members of staff.

You can find out more about them on the children’s services website here https://www.doncaster.gov.uk/hear-me/hearing-you
